    Hey CrazyPainter,

Things may have just turned for the worse!

I went to their web site, www.jardineproducts.com and first did a search for systems by inputting year/make/and the only models that they allowed a choice for were the 81 VIRAGOS!

It's 2008, but their downloadable catalog is still the 2006 version, and in it they still show systems, the 4:1's only, no 4:2 systems, for the XS11, both in Fully chrome, as well as black headers with aluminum muffler. BUT being a 2 year old catalog, it may have finally been discontinued!

I wrote them a message inquiring about whether they still make systems for the 78-81 XS11's or not, will wait to see what they say and report back here!

SO...either Ebay, or possibly finding some NOS in some shops somewhere may be your only choices for Jardines. The 4:1 systems they offered were NOT the spaghetti styled crossed headers anyways!

IIRC, MAC was still offering the systems, in BLACK headers with chrome mufflers, but 4:1 systems, no 4:2!

IF you have a set of pipes, but they are not pristine, you might do better sending them to JETHOT COATINGS for their black ceramic coating!?
    T.C.

PS: Jardine system info #'s for searches:
    14-2403-01 4:1 Megaphone Chrome
    14-2403-03 4:1 Black headers, aluminum oval shell/satin
14-2202-01 Chrome Flared Steel Slip on Muffler not Maxim.

I just did a NET search for "jardine 14-2403-03", and found ONLY 2 sites that say they have them for sale, both a bit over $400.00 for a complete set, but folks feel Jardines are much better than MAC!? YMMV!

I went to the Jardine site and under classics it listed 78-80 XS's standard and specials but no listing for the 81. Is there any difference?

The 14-2403-03 fits the Special (all years) pretty nicely, but not so the Standards.

Here is a link to what I documented 9 years ago when I purchased the 4:1 system for my "F".

            Jardine 4:1 (Painted)

At the time I was not very impressed with the fit. As my exhaust system evolved, I came to really like the Jardine (except the muffler).

I now run it with an R1 can (with much modifications).

I have one of these also= it was a huge pain in the Clackers to assemble, I had to heat and beat to get it to fit on my Standard. I don't care for the sound either= loud and raspy. But I have heard that it makes great power. I have never ridden this bike with this exhaust on it, I only started it and wrapped the throttle a couple of times, then let it sit for the past 4 years.
I also have the R1 can on a Mac header= I like that one way better (great power and sounds quiet).
Altho this subject seems to have been "beat to death", there might be some useful information in this thread: Dyno Results
              http://www.xs11.com/forum/showthread...t=dyno+results

Damn, I like Denny's bike, check out those rearsets.

That's regrettable. Do the Macs have a 4 into 1?

Just went to Dennis Kirk, they had 3 sets of the black 4 into 1, closeout price of 292. They've been ordered. Thanks for all the help and replies. You guys are great on here!

                            Sorry Dean,

These are just the basic 4-1's, they don't even have the Spaghetti pipes systems in their OLD catalog for our machines, only for Honda!

                              Gazelle exhausts

I believe Gazelle in UK still makes an XS11 Standard stainless steel exhaust with 4-2 setup, dunno their price.
