Hey that's looking good Paul. My painting project is on hold for a short while. I have to install a shower in the basement bathroom. I was going to do that today but I must say I am pretty sore after clearing out yesterdays "gift" from above.

          Hey Giant/Paul,

IF you are going to use stick on switch labels, it would help to seal them in place and protect them. Also doesn't clear coat help prevent/reduce the oxidation of the black paint, since being black they obsorb a lot of heat and UV when out in the sun!?

That's a good point about the labels I was just concerned about the paint fading and thought clear coat would help.

I'll have to rethink my approach to painting all those little parts.

Clear coating them will help protect them. but might make them shiny. Thats why I use flat black then clear coat for a satin finish and protection. But to each his own.

Ya, that's why I went with the semi gloss. I wasn't thinking about sun or UV damage.

                  Time will tell.
