  • Throttle grip grease

Depending on how it goes together (haven't looked at the xs arrangement for some time) I've often greased parts of the throttle where there are going to be parts moving over one another.

Usually it amounts to a bit of moly grease on the 'wheel' of the throttle - the part which hold the cable end and fits into the RH swtiches.

Could be someone has greased this are and it has escaped a bit onto the bars.

Shouldn't need too much on putting it all back together.

old bikes used to have a metal twistgrip tube, grease is always a good idea between metals where there is movement...maybe old habits die hard?
