              Rasputin..I'm thinking yours is the 28th made...the first 1 after the 2H7, I think, was reserved to identify Canadian models. They started numbering at 101.

                I never knew that. Hey that would be cool too. All I know is I like it a lot and even though it needs some repairs it is in pretty good shape overall.

                  Raputin,

                  Looking at a few of the numbers it appears that they didn't use the 2H8 for Canada but rather 2H7100101 for the 78E and 2H7110101 for the 79F.

                  The US 79F, i believe was labelled, starting at, 2H7020101 By quick deduction combined with the statement from Yamaha that the serial numbers are consectutive through all models, and not specific to each model, I would assume that no more than 9999 Es of Fs were produced world wide.
