G'day all,
About a week ago I got my hands on a 1981 XS1100 Standard which has sort of seen better days, but seemed to be a perfect project for my out of work time.
In that week waiting for the bike to arrive I found this site, and I have to say, there is a truckload of information and people who know these bikes here. Looks like my resto project might use a little less guesswork than I thought I was going to have to use.
I've actually decided to do a blog up on this project, mainly just to record my own worklog and keep track of what I've gotten done, but there's photos on there if you'd like to see the bike itself. The link is http://2wheelproject.blogspot.com/
After all that, I do have a technical question. The tachometer is displaying 1000rpm even when there's no power on the bike, is this something that could be adjusted inside the tacho itself?
