  • Anyone have experience w/ Dyno-jet kits?

Was wondering if anyone had any experience with the K&N Dyno-jet kits. Are they just a selection of different mikuni jets and needles or is it K&N brand stuff? I purchased one off of ebay recently and think I may have gotten ripped off.

    Hey Jessie,

I don't have any experience with the DynoJet kits, but if you'll go to this link, official DynoJet Kit website , you'll see info about the different types/stages of their kits. They don't list one for the XS11 anymore, but they did make them for them a while back!

    Good Luck.

I just bough a K&N performance kit that includes the Dyno jet kit. The jet kit part of the package includes 4 new main jets, 4 new needles, clips and washers and what looks like 4 new bowl jets and a small tool for pressing them in.

I just quickly read through the instructions for this kit and what I was thinking was bowl jets is actually press fit air jets that get drilled out after they are installed. I am missing the drill bits with this kit but it was used and I bought it for the filters so the jet kit was a bonus. This kit is also for 1980 and above so I am not sure if I could even use it on my 1978 engine.

yeah, I was bidding against you for those (unknowing of course). What I want to know though is are the jets and what not Mikuni parts or k&n/dyno-jet parts?

I just checked the needles and main jets and there are no marking what so ever on any of them.
There's no doubt they get them unmarked from their supplier on purpose. Otherwise anyone could just start putting together kits of their own.
