It's not the 80, but it's an 81H/SH. The differences are going to be with your Cent. Adv. mechanism, and you have a ballast resistor, the carbs should be the same, the lights may look different, but the engine basics are very similar.
IT's ~6.5MB in PDF format, just right click and Save Target As, then open in PDF viewer. Hope it helps!

Not wise to buy a manual that was printed before the bike was manufactured. Get one that was printed after the bike was manufactured, like mro points out, the later version will have supplemental info that comes to light after the model run has been in production, through dealer repairs, etc.
Then again, you can just ask your question here, we have all the answers!

OTOH....
If you get it cheep, will trade ya a Clymer or or what ever the other manual is I have for it I would like to complete my set of factory manuals
He stated he was looking for the "OWNER's MANUAL", not a service manual. My 81 covers both the H and SH model, so I would think that Yamaha did the same thing for the earlier years when they made both standards and specials in the same year to save on printing costs!?
But also, like we've told folks before, the bikes for model/year runs are usually made 6 months or so the year before.
I'll look on the Yamaha site to see if they list the part number for the owner's manual!

Does that sound like the right manual for a 1980 XS1100SG? Right part number?
How much should I offer for it?
Thanks again.
According to the next to last tech bulletin on the OFFICIAL Yamaha Parts Fiche site, the owner's manual part # is
LIT-11626-01-78 for 80SG
LIT-11626-01-74 for 80G
LIT-11626-02-10 for 80LH

I have the original manual that came with my bike an '80 SG, I wanna keep it but if you need any info about your bike this site is WAY better than the original owners manual.
But if I wanted one I would go Five bucks,I am sure the asking price is way more but it doesn't contain that much info...ask here, not me but the bike guru's...............
