New bars! Any ideas for risers?

I am a little to far forward. If any of you know of any good ways to get risers on here without hacking up the trees?

I have a set of bar back risers I could be persuaded to sell. They have a 1 inch rise, and 1 3/8 inch back towards you. They cost over $100 new from GenMar. If you follow the link TC put up, you will see them. If you are interested, PM me, and we'll discuss prices.

Hey Kurt. If it was something I would be using, I wouldn't get aluminum ones. They just can't grip the bars good enough. You can imagine one of those times when you need to support the bike with the bars or leaning real hard on the bars during a panic stop...and the bars rotate forewards!!! I have some of the chromed aluminum bar retainers (replacement for OEM) and they are not really good enough to grip it tight. Then again, you may be a better rider than I and never notice the difference.

Scan down the pics to see why they are called dogbones. The ones in the pic are pointed straight up but point 'em straight back instead, (or as near straight back as they'll go without the bars hitting the tank)
to bring those Z-bars back until they are darn near in your lap.

Thats funny. I was thinking of getting two more clamps, turning them upside down and getting longer bolts... looks like I had the right idea. Those ones would look a lot cleaner though. Petina or clean... hhhmmmm...

because I'm a cheap bastard you can ebay search handle bar risers.
You come up with a dozen or so sets of dirt bike risers most you have to reuse your caps but they usually go for under 20.00.
And if the dirt riders don't have bar slippage and I've never had the problem you should be good too.

Dirt risers

I found a set for $20. They are adjustable via spacer blocks. Should be nice. I'll post a pic when I get them on.

Aluminum risers

I've had aluminum risers on my bike for years without any problems, and my bike is full dressed and always loaded heavily. When you install the risers and bars line the grip areas with fine emery paper so the bars won't slip or rotate, the bolts hold the weight and take the stress not the spacers.

Finally got the risers. The first thing from ebay that was better than described. Seem like they will do the job.
