  • $36 for new tank badges

I was just on mikes and saw these for $36. The best part is that they aren't golf cart badges!

Well folks have heard my rants before, but I will do anything I can to keep others from spending nearly the same amount on falsely advertised "OEM" golf cart badges on ebay that can be had for $6 elsewhere.

Are these for the xs650? Maybe somone can confirm, but I believe the badges on the 650 are noticebly smaller than the 1100 and I don't think the holes line up either.

I'm pretty sure I remember seeing that also. They are just a tad too small.

          Confirmed it in a search:

I compaired my xj550 badges and they are not compatable but I am not sure about the 650 but probably the same deal. Mounting holes are diff.

                make em fit

As long as they cover the recessed mounting divets, just mount them with 3M double-sided tape. No need to screw them on. That stuff's super strong. I had an aftermarket smoothie front bumper cover on my Dodge Ram that mounted with only 3M tape!

Me? I've gone badgeless ("Badges? We don't need no stinkin badges!")

I did this with a set of emblems on SWMBO's 'H. I also found a couple of nice brass screws, and cut them off just below the head. I epoxied the cut-off head into the screw mounting holes, and they look like the real thing.
