  • What's it worth? Craig's List postings

Here are a few listings for the month of November for XS11s on the Denver Craig's list:

http://denver.craigslist.org/mcy/490541637.html (’79 XS 11 complete bike or will part. $400.00)

    http://denver.craigslist.org/mcy/483408823.html (’79 XS 11, 27K miles. Been sitting. $750.00)

    http://denver.craigslist.org/mcy/477020490.html (’79 XS 11, full dress, $1,750.00.)

FWIW, an XJ in October was listed at $450.00:
http://denver.craigslist.org/mcy/459394039.html (No title, bill of sale.)

Over the months I found quite a few listed for less than $1,000.00. Several in the $500. - $800 range. Many appeared to be in decent condition. Good values are still out there. I would guess any of these listed above could be had for less than the listed asking price if you had cash in hand.

      79 XS11

The 3rd XS dresser is the gem . My XJ gets lonely in its stall at night . The 79 would make a perfect long run companion .

Frame has been stripped and painted. Starting to put it back together. Busy polishing and cleaning stuff, plus picking up a few goodies on ebay.

Was out on the sleds on the weekend!

So much for biking on Christmas Day.

couple years ago picked up a 79H full dresser (had floor boards and forward controls too) Middle drive was FUBARed and title/registration was way out a date. It gave life back to three XSes, and the goodies on it went to some guys here at channel 11. Now it's little more than a rolling frame.

non runners with just a bill of sale, I pay $100 to $300....

Try misspelling stuff or just typing in the year or part of the model. People are normally in a big hurry on CL. You find some good deals that way.

                          Hi Jerry,

The parts bike looks like an XS500 twin to me! Could be a TX?

I didn't think it really looked like an 11, but has disk brakes front and rear where most other Yamaha models did not. Could be an 850? My knowledge of other Yamaha models in not extensive.
