DOH, okay, yeah, IF you've got an OEM styled oil cooler adapter to use, then yes, you can just put an empty filter cup onto the bottom of the OEM cooler plate, and you'll have both oil lines coming from the side, since the oil can then flow into the cup, and thru the holes in the side of the filter bolt and into the engine just like the OEM.
I was under the impression that you were wanting to get rid of the filter cup assembly!
That's great, 'cause now I don't have to worry about trying to make/design one! So far everyone else that's wanting the cooler plate also likes the spin on filter where it is!
The problem I have is that I can't make that special mounting pipe/nut combo that comes with the OEM cooler plates 'cause it is tapped for allowing the OEM filter bolt to screw into the end of the pipe/nut that holds the cooler plate in place.
