  • Fork seal saga continues!!!

Well I appears I am going to have to buy new fork lowers. I have changed the seals twice now and they are leaking AGAIN!
I think the seats are just too screwed up and I cant sand them down enough to stop the leaking. Or I have sanded them down too much. Had some pretty deep gouges in them.

So, does anyone know where I can get some new ones, if available? If not then Ill need a pair of used ones that are in very good condition. I don't want to buy some used ones that are in bad shape again.

    Thanks all...

Wow, I guess you have already tried the usual links? www.umgweb.com , www.zanottimotor.com , how about www.motosalvage.com ? Or salvage yard:
stevescycle@friendlycity.net [ask for Mike or Alex] ??
You'd think that any Yamaha dealer could access ANY/ALL other's inventory for those "new; old stock" items. 'Just a few thoughts.

      Wayne,

The seals are leaking around the seats? Not around the uppers? If so, just use some sealent when you seat the seals.
