    Is this an XJ11?

I recently acquired an abandoned motorcycle and I'm about 99% sure it's an XJ11. The rims are spiraled mags, it has YICS engraved on the engine, and the air filter box is triangular. The things that puzzle me are it is chain driven, has a single disc brake in the front, and what appears to be rear drum brakes. The vin# sticker on the triple tree is partially torn. Any tips on identifying this bike or the location of the vin# stamp on the frame would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like a 650 or 750 maxim. The 1100 maxim was shaft drive , and had dual front brakes.

        Hey John,

I just checked, and surprisingly the XJ650 also had a shaft drive, but the 550 was the chain drive unit!

        Wufdaddy,

        Does it look like this?

          Hi Guys,

Engine size will be cast into the bottom of the barrels (block?) somewhere; Just like the 11!
