Hey guys and gals, I wanted to let everyone know the progress on "White Lightning", the motor is offically all together, except the oil filter, debating on maybe changing it, lol, I am knee deep in the carbs right now and found a few things missing, and some things that were not suppose to be there! First I found, grass, a stick, some bark, a peice of a leaf, and lots of o-ring peices, and that was just in my float bowls, I am surprised it even ran! I have 2 of the 4 o-rings and 3 of the 4 washers, that are on the fuel-air mixture screws, so I need some tiny o-rings and a real tiny washer, any ideas?? Do the rebuild kits from Parts&More come with the o-rings? If so all I need is the washer. My main jet sizes are bigger then stock, but that was due to the K&N's and custom exhaust. I have bought an airbox and a K&N for it, but still debating on using it or going for another set of indies. I really don't like the empty space the indies leave behind , but the airbox seems like a pain! I have rebuilt and cleaned all the brake systems, even the spooge holes, and have installed all new pads. I have given up on the seat and will be taking it to the shop so they can deal with it, I bought a cover and wanted to go for the flatter look, where as the ol man had the high rise one on there, well the cover I got barely seems to fit over the pan, even without the foam, so I am going to take the old cover, new cover, foam, pan, and a picture to the shop and they can cut, stitch, weld or do what they have to do to make it fit! I have no paitence for stuff like that! I am fixing to purchase, yet another set of gauges, and hope they are the right ones this time and will just plug in! I will be offering some parts for sale soon, here for a couple weeks, then to egay. I have posted a parts needed add in the classifides section, if you would please go look and let me know if you have any of the things I need, Thanks for listening, and ride safe!

Hello,
Welcome to the club. all this hard work will pay off in the end withsomething you'll be proud of.
If your carb is set up for indy filters i would stick with them.
I had a problem the other way. I had to put the air box back on to make it run right.
One of the last things i do is rebuild the carbs, rejet it and go to indy filters. Those air boxes are a real pain in the as- you-know- what.
Have fun, I am with my project.

LPIf it doesn't have an engine, it's not a sport, it's only a game.

Remember it's only a bike and you are the owner.
In your part of the world what is the gas like?
Here we do get some crappy stuff at times.

Gas is good here... 95 or 98 octane... can't get 91 anymore... unleaded offcourse. On most of the gas stations, it's crap(pier), but another supplier, better gas... it's not that bad, but when you drive/ride something for 60k, you start to notice the difference, altho it's never really crap.
