  • Anyone remember this?

I saw this in a thread somewhere but can't remember where. I know it's available in Germany but have no idea how to contact the manufacturer. It's a replacement for the '78E standard exhaust and from memory it was around 200 euros (whatever they are) Any thought's? Anyone ever buy a set? Who was the lucky bastard that got a stock set in good nick off eBay for $200?

My broken leg is almost healed. I need to rescue The Swiftcicle from my Dad's garage though. My red headers prompt most people to ask me if I'm leaving the rustproofing coat as it is or will I paint them a normal colour. It's time I went with chrome and this set looks the goods.

    Any thoughts will be helpful.

Built by Heinz Wyes (wyes.heinz@arcor.de). Price now is 900-1000 euro but has never been 200 euro, because it is absolutely handbuilt. But because it is all stainless steel it is best to have it built it on the bike itself for best fitting. I have read somewhere that around 15 sets have been built. There was a discussion about it on the EU-Forum from 18-08-2007 until 20-08-2007 (page 27) also to be found on this site.

          Hi Dan,
          FYI, 1,000 Euro = 1570.46 AU$.
And if the price alone says "eeeek" I doubt
you'll be shipping the bike to Europe to get them custom fitted either.
Stick with the red ones, eh?
