    i just recently bought a set of carbs off of ebay the guy said they would need a little cleaning (HA HA ) try alot of cleaning he also said they came of a running bike again (HA HA) maybe one that ran two years ago or maybe longer well after two days of cleaning and recleaning them i started to put them back together when i came across first problem it had too different set of emulsion tubes in it they where 265 and 301's no problem there i used my tubes from my old carb all of them where 265's next problem was the mixture screws they had plastic caps on them no biggie just toock caps of but i was looking at mine and they had a slight difference in the lenght of the thread mine were longer while the other ones were shorter so i just used mine last thing was the needle mine are longer than the other ones from the carbs i got on ebay My question is this are the mixture screws from my old carbs going to work ok and what about the needles should i just use my needle's or use the new ones almost forgot both sets of carbs hafe the same prefix 2h7 the guy said they were off of a 79 and all the jets are the same in both sets of carbs if anybody can help with the answer please pm me or pm and i will give you my cell number to call me at

    mru, your 79' 4-1, K&N, here's the setup I ran on a 78' with a 4-1, K&N. Emulsion tubes 266 x 4, needles 5GZ6 x4 middle notch, pilot jets 42.5- 45 range, main jets 140-142.5 range, the idle screws around 3 turns out or just enough to darken the plugs somewhat after idling for a while, float height 25mm, should run well
