OEM air box vs. K&M tapered filters

Might try something like TC's idea on these.
Would make for a little more room where fuel hoses attach to carbs.

Hi Wiz,
the DDs ain't heavy, nor do my 4 UNIpods weigh much. However, I betcha that rack of carbs weighs a pound or six. It's that load of metal that needs holding up at the back now that the airbox ain't there no more to do it.

4 inches length the XS one's, hard to beat, the filters waay back, drilled holes in the bottom airbox and jetted up one size on main jets, but stifled exhausts put a halt to that, you want loud but not too loud as in raspy, but doesn't matter one way or the other at full throttle full revs

Thanks to all for the replies. What a range of ideas! As I'm going to have the carbs rebuilt, I think now is a good time to go back to stock. You guys are great!

Yeah, pretty lame, huh. I have little mechanical experience, so the learning curve for something like that is a little high. Long hours at work and a huge desire to play with my kids every chance I get causes me to spend money foolishly on paying someone else to do the work. lol. (after all, it took me days to reply back to you!)
