My original '78, with ALL the gear was 820lbs on a truck scale. That was probably +/- 40 Lbs.

I've been trying to weigh mine, at our local truck scale, but it's currently out of service.

If they get it fixed before the snow stays, I will get it weighed.
Nice day, if it doesn't rain...

No it was all Yamaha except for the box. I had a HD style fiberglass box, fairing with radio and speakers, lowers, front and rear guards, Yamaha saddle bags, and a full tank of gas. I wanted to see what the "real world" weight of the bike was.

way back I was setting up camp at a KOA site when a guy on a huge Harley pulled into the next site.
Hey man, pass me a firewood stick please?
              shoves it under his sidestand.
If I don't do this the sidestand will sink in this sand and the bike will fall over.
And what will you do then if there is nobody around to help you lift it?
Man, I phone a tow truck.

I weighed my E once at the public scales.
Pacifico fairing with lowers, Yamaha hardbags and a fiberglass trunk. All the compartments were empty and I had a full tank of gas. 685 lbs. I wanted a net weight so I could calculate how much stuff I could carry before a trip.
