30 inch cable ?????

Oh b4 I start, CLEVELAND IS GOIN 2 WIN DA SERIES !!!

Anyway, lol, Was lookin through the toolbag that I got with

My $50.00 Maxim parts bike, & found this cable in there.

It has 2 loops at one end with one of them attached to a

stainless steel thigamajig that looks like it would fit around

a handle bar, or sumptin, lol

then the cable goes through two 45 degree ss tubes that

rings welded to em, & finishes at the other end with 2 ss

rings connected together that lets them bend.




SO, WHAT THE HECK IS IT

The cable is for the '78 through'80 STANDARD models. It is used to hold the REAR SUSPENSION above the muffler assembly. That is one of only two ways to pull the rear axle. The second way is REMOVE the right muffler!!
Some of the people on the board may need the cable, so keep that in mind if you don't know what to do with it. If you have a header, as I do, it's no longer needed.
As far as Baseball, who cares??????
I do like Cleveland as a city, though. Was there last year on Daily Ride to visit a cousin.

I can certainly use that cable tool assy, as, I am sure, could several others.

I did manage to pick up an almost complete tool set off of ebay. It has most the basic tools, but not the special ones. I have the dipstick from before, but I don't have that cable setup.

I think I have all the tools, now, except for the cable, and the clip for holding up the rear caliper when the wheel is off.
