Need K/Q seat with high back for 79 XS1100 Special

First time poster. I've got a great K/Q with high back, but the frame has rusted out on the underside. I need a new frame, as one of the bolt fasteners has rusted away. Any suggestions?

    Hi there & welcome,
that's the pressed sheetmetal seat pan rusted out where the hold-down bolt fitment attaches to it? You can fix it by cutting out the rusted part with a cutting disc on a Dremel tool and pop-rivetting a 20ga sheetmetal patch in there. First braze on M6 nuts over drilled holes in the patch to hold the hold-down bolt fitment in place.

      fredintoon,
Thanks for the quick reply and suggestion. I've a buddy with a small machine shop; a solid patch should make it right as rain. Thanks again!
