79 XS11 pickup coils

I bought a new pickup coil harness for my 79 XS11 special but not sure how it goes on and what the clearance should be. Does anyone have any pictures? I bought the bike without them so can't follow the old install.

If I recall, Randy rage says to set the gap at .7mm on the coils, and as far as how to install them, try doing a search for the installion. I know I have seen some pics here showing the installation.

Thanks, I looked around and there was a piece on repairing the wire but no pics. I'll look some more.

Screw both pickups onto the base plate pointing clockwise, the bottom pickup has the shorter wires.

Thanks a bunch. My eyes were starting to go crossed looking at all the threads on coils..........

I did learn a few things though so all is well.
