  • Seat replacement?

Do you all know if it's possible to get the XJ1100 seat redone so that you can sit farther back on the bike?

I won't have a passenger, so the pillion seat doesn't really matter.

    thanks, LCS

    Hey LCS,

Anything's possible if you have the $$! A search for threads about seat recovering etc., you should find several with info on where folks went/sent their seats to have them recovered!

Diamond Seat Co., Florida will make what you want. They make'em to suit your height, weight and inseam. Tell them to push the "lumbar" way back. Mine feels real good. 6'3", 230, big feet. Good for 10-12 hrs/day.

        Seat replacement

        Thank you TopCatGr58 and Poprock,

I know it costs some bucks, but I've done it on other bikes and have found it much easier to ride.

Just got this XJ100J and love the feel of it, but my knees bunched up around the tank feel just a tad like I'm riding a tricycle.

I'm not as tall as you, Poprock, but have a 32" inseam, and size 13 boots. I need come leg room.

I'll look for threads again, TopCatGr58 - I did search but maybe not correctly. I'm still new to this site.

best to you both, and thank you for answering.
