Local mechanic in Sacramento area?

Hey,

Just got an XJ1100 yesterday and am in El Dorado Hills, CA - roughly Sacramento area - 45 minutes east.

I'm hoping there are XS / XJ owners near me and that there are shops where I can go to get it thoroughly checked out.

Called the Yamaha dealer in Folsom and they won't work on anything older than 10 years ...

There was a guy in Sac, but I can't remember who. Unless you got the money to spend on a mech and want to, there is TONS of help and pointers here.

thanks for the reply.

I don't have tons of money. Could use the help. But pointers might not do me much good since I'm not at all experienced at doing my own work.

In fact, I'm not sure I'd feel safe on a bike I'd worked on ...

It would be great to meet anybody who is good at fixing up bikes since, being new to this area, I'd like to meet some folks to ride with, as well.
