  • Peak Oil Pressure

I've been looking around for a thread that talks about the peak oil pressure that the 11's can get. I'm not able to find much about it though.

Anyone have an idea about the highest oil pressure these bikes can reach? Maybe one of you guys that has added a oil pressure guage or something? I'm looking mostly for the maximum level that they can reach on a cold day just after starting or something, but a typical operating range would be cool to know as well.

    Thanks!

On my XS1100E cold oil pressure is just under 60lbs. There is a relief valve that is set to 70 Psi from the factory. Warmed up and at highway speeds I run around 42.

      Hey Jesse,

XMRGWX is right on the money, manual says relief valve is 70 psi, and cruising pressure is 42 psi! The brass fittings on the SOFCA are rated at 250 psi, I would aim for 100psi max on your hoses and clamps!
