will xv gas tanks fit?

I have just purchased a 78 xs 11 with the idea of chopping it, so i want to fit a differant tank. Gas tanks for xv's seem more easy to source than tanks from specials so i wondered if anyone knows if anything from the xv range will fit. Cheers Rob.

Hi Robbo,

Anything in the world will fit, if you are prepared to do the work..........

If you are really going to make a Chopper, then find something you like, and make it fit.

If want to use the parts which go on without modifications, you are heading for a mild custom at best.
