Oil Pump Scratches

Im restoring a 79 XS F and noticed that there are quite significant grooves inside my oil pump. So I ordered one on ebay and it has the same type of scoring. Then I contacted Andreashweiss in hopes of a better part and his spare pump has the same scoring. Anyone have any idea what the deal is with these pumps? Anyone have a pump without scratches?

Anyone have a pump without scratches?

Have not noticed on the few I've had apart.
Do have a couple engines apart in the shop but there up in the pallet rack and not easy to get to for now.
How about posting some pics?
