  • Ever seen this exhaust?

I was at Merriam Cycles and saw this: Looks like a Jardine spaghetti pipe with Maxim style slash cut megaphones.

Ever seen this before? Do ya think Jones just slash cut the meg himself?

Actually Cody, I have a set of them to be installed on the 81 SH. The only reason they aren't on the bike yet is because it looks like some PO had let a dirt dobber use a stick welder, and tried to reweld one of the seams where the pipe that slips over the header tube is welded to the muffler. I need to grind that crap off, and have it TIG welded, then maybe rechrome the muffler. I got it from a bike that Exsquized 1 and I had gone in on. The mufflers have the same P/N as my straight cut megaphones, 8102 R & L.

So they don't look like they've been "hacked".

Wow...what I would do to have a set of those on my 79F'.

This is the forst set of these I've ever seen and likely will the the last.

      Thanks John.

I can't wait to get the Jardine turnouts I have mounted to my sketti pipes. I've only ever seen one other pic on here of an 11 with that combination, and it's a really old and grainy one.

I've thought about cutting the megaphones down similar to that if I can't make the turnouts work. They're crazy long right now, almost meet up with the back of the wheel!

Mine don't come together into two pipes either like most of the other ones I've seen on here. They come together kinda half and half to a sleeve that the mufflers slip on to. I haven't had them on the bike long enough to be sure, but it looks somewhat different than those.

Look at the pics I posted for my Oregon trip thread named "Something strange happened on the way to the bridge".

Miles Baker has a set on his bike "No Name" and they are in very goood shape.

He does indeed! Damn, that's nice! Suprised I didn't notice that.

Must've got distracted by the goofy smile beneath it

                John

Does your slashed Jardine have a cross over equalizer between the megaphones?

Hey! I know the answer to this one

Yep... it has the crossover... one of the reasons I want to put them on the 81 (plus... they look REALLY good)
