will 78 Spcl seat fit 79 spcl

Im watching a seat on EBay that is suposed to be for a 78 XS11 special. Anyone know if it will fit my 79 Special?

No specials in 78, only the E
79 first year came out with specials

Sorry, makes no sence to me.
If the guy still has the frame the seat is from ask for the first three digits

3H3 = 79 Special

I put an 80 special seat on one of my 79 specials.
Does not fit right but works and looks "OK"
With the 80 special seat on the 79 can not get the key into the helmut lock and back end of seat is a little different too.
