Getting ready to replace the front springs with progressive type. Since the dust boots are cracked pretty badly, figured I'd do it at the same time. Does anyone know if I "have to" take the front wheel off to slide the forks out? It may be the easiest method but was wondering.

It doesn't take that long. And yes, I leaned the hard way that you need to take the wheel off. Short cuts usualy take longer to fix than the time they might save. You might as well replace your fork seals while you are in there.United States Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point, NY
If I can do it at 18 yrs old, anyone can
