think i found the noise

Started the bike up this morning and used the stethocope on it. It sounded like it was coming from the timming cover. So i checked it out and found the tube that goes from the vac up to the carbs had a split on it. Cut it off and reattached it, the noise seem to go away. Drove it around the block but really didnt notice it. Put the scope back on it and I could still hear a odd sound. Plan on taking it out later for a longer ride to see what happens.

Is that hose connected to the correct position on the BODY of carb #2. If it is connected to the BOOT of carb #2 that will prove to be your noise as the timing auto vac advance system goes on and off repeatedly.

Yes its connected to the #2 carb. I took a video and working on down loading it tonight.
