Who can tell me what the wicked vibration noise is at about 4000 rpms? It sounds like part of the exhaust on the right side. Anyone else have this and solved it?

Check the exhaust heat shield (below the footpeg)

Check the entire exhaust. Specials especially have a tendency to crack after the footpeg bracket.
Nice day, if it doesn't rain...

It could be this too...has done it on both my MNS's. Actually surprised I've never seen this addressed in a post here....

Actually sometimes sounds like the engine is coming apart...depending on load and RPM. But it's always between 3k + 4k RPM

Enlarging it just makes it distorted, still hard to read.

Try printing it...I just did and it's not too bad. Grainy but readable.

Go to the Vacuum advance detonation post. TopCat did a really nice job zooming in so you can read it.
