  • Brake Squeak Gone :-)

Brake squeak gone and the brakes are working VERY well ... This is how I did it....

Cleaned the pucks DRY with a stiff nylon brush (Don't breath that dust)

Chamfered all edges of the wear material with a file.

Applied anti squeal fluid to back sides of all pucks (that's the stuff that dries fast into a sort of rubbery gasket)

Applied ultra high heat BRAKE lube to all contact surfaces between the pucks and the calipers. Don't over do it with the lube, a thin film is good.

Applied the same ultra high heat BRAKE lube to the inside and outside of the pin guides. Just pull the guides and boots and apply the lube to the inside of the boot and squish it around then put the guides back into the boots. then apply some to the pins. Thats the non threaded part of the bolts that hold the calipers to the caliper brackets.

I just recently did the same thing and the noise went away too. I think without the brake lube on the pins and shims the brakes were hanging up for me.
