You can use Maxim wheels which have a different pattern, or chrome the stock ones. But no aftermarket w/out modding the forks and such that I've ever heard of.

      Hi Jason,
the rim is an integral part of the wheel, so, no. But you meant a different wheel, right?
The swirly-spoke wheels off an XJ will swap right in and there's a photo someplace on this list of a member's bike done like that.
Betcha you could find aftermarket solid disc wheels that could be custom machined to fit. Betcha that'd cost more than another XS11, even a nice one.

Well XS forks need the XS axle but plenty of front wheels would fit with the right spacers and bearing combination, mines got an XJ900 18"wheel, but there's little chance of the XS11 rotors fitting straight on to another models front wheel, maybe the XS650's and RD 400's but they're pretty much identical looking wheels anyway, and the other models' rotors need to be the right spacing and 300mm diameter if you don't want to shag with modding calipers, and the XS shaft driven back wheel is whole different story again

I knew exactly what you meant when you asked. The term "rims" very often goes hand in hand with wheel. If your "wheels" had a hub which had spokes laced into a rim then i could see the need for the technical re-education.

              Hi OpFlash,
if Bikenutt had been talking about a wire wheel he'd be right and need no "technical re-education" and I betcha he's savvy enough to know when he's being ribbed.
