  • YICS Tool ?

    Hey folks,

I'm planning on making my own YICS tool and I was wondering if I could substitute the 3 rubber tube pieces with one long section that would cover all vacuum passages.

Do you think the one tube may not seal as well as three short seperate tubes?

    Thoughts?

    Thanks,

    Paul

give it a shot and see how it works.
I made mine the same way as the one found on this site but hey you never know. The only issue is that when you use three separate pieces there is less pressure required to compress the hose and a better chance of getting a good seal.

      Hi Blue Giant,

If you use a single piece of tube, it will not swell enough in the right places when you compress it; try the "simple" way if you like, but unless you fond some unusual tube, I don't think it will work!

Let us know you get on Paul

I need to make one sometime so it'll be interesting to hear how you get on

One thing, do you think you'll know if its worked or not, do you just get vac readings telling you that all the carbs a balanced OK which they might be anyway
