Gauge lights and head lights

    Strange

    Can anyone explain this to me. I unpluged the voltage regulator

    plug from the harness but left the green and brown wire plug

    connected . I have battery voltage coming from the regulator and

    the wiring harness from the red wires?

      Well my 80 SG is up and running again. $5.00 and $15.00 for delivery for a new used stat and field coil and my lights and charging system are operating fine. Ordered a new regulator just incase . Still can't explain why my lights went out and the tac was still operating fine.
