XJ Fender on a Special ??

Hello,
I need a new front fender and found an 82 XJ 1100 front fender in excellent condition. Will this drop-in on a 79 XS1100SF ? I need it to drop into the same place as the original since, I'm useing a 100 tire and a fork brace. I don't mind the slight difference in look of the XJ fender...

I used one for some time because it has a built in fork brace. Look under the fender , and you'll see an extra thickness of metal. That seemed to make a difference in the handling, in itself. It will bolt right up with no problem.
