    Thanks webb.

It makes sense that if i ran the 60 watt during the day on the 500 mile runs across west texas that it wouldnt stress the plastic. There is no ventilation in my fairing so the 100 watt would be an experiment. Am considering installing a vent on the bottom of the fairing.

I have considered putting a pair of very powerful good beam driving lights on each side of fairing and switching off the headlight when using them as an alternative. On my honda i run one down the middle and one down the side of the road and it seems to scare the deer away.

I had a pro boxer client that hit a deer at 90 with his sport bike and cut it in half, he was hardly hurt, but i dont want to push my luck.

I am looking for sources of upgrade H4s.

      OK guys...I'm back.

These last two days of searching out a halogen headlight conversion for a 6 x 8 unit has just been two days of my life that I'll never get back

I can't find a conversion kit at auto parts stores, truck accessory shops, even Wal Mart

My plan is to remove the bracket from my OEM sealed beam and JB Weld them to a conversion unit. But I need to see one live and in person to see if it will work.

      And the beat goes on

I just talked to a guy in an Advance auto who said he read an article in a magazine about a hid conversion that was a simple plug in deal, ie our wires plugged into the box and the box ran wires right to the bulb that would go right into our h4 socket. He said it was a two power unit but it seems it doesnt have an up and down beam. Thats ok with me if it blows out far down the road just grazing the pavement near me. Having my dims out far enough to use at night puts my hi beam way up anyway. IF this info is correct sounds like the best way to go.

I ordered a Pilot Performance Lighting WI-HL5A H4 Conversion 6054 Head Lamp from Amazon.com for 33 bucks shipped. Two included.

I'm going on a leap of faith that I can make it work

The downside is that the free shipping requires more than a week for delivery

Just ordered a 55/100 hella from autobarn on amazon for 8 bucks and 7 shipping. hoped to find 60/100 but think this will work. Hella or autobarn did not specify kelvin but am hopeful hella did their homework. I love the ease of adjusting the headlight up and down while driving by knob in fairing.
