    i have found that the shifter is too close to the foot rest
    i wear boots not enough space to shift comfortably'
    can i move the rest or get a longer shifter.

      i have a xj1100 mabe after i take a motorcycle course it might help
      i could be doing all wrong

        xj1100 , XS, same lever.
        So...grandma, what big feet you have

        Most of the time I wear steel toe work boots, size 10.
        No problems.
