Head Bolts
HELP. Just had a big bore kit put in my 79 XS1100F. While taking it apart they had to cut a head bolt off. I tried to get some from Yamaha but they do not carry them anymore. I found some bolts on EBAY and purchased them but the person has not sent them yet and will not respond to my e-mails. If anyone knows where i may get some head bolts please let me know.

Hey Paladin,
Do a search for Member Andreas Weiss, he has lots of parts and may have a busted case that he can pull the head studs from, but you'll need to be more specific as to which one, cause they are different lengths!

Yes I have several complete sets I sent you an PM. They are hard to get out, but , heat and a solid whack to break them lose usually works. andreasComment

Head Bolts
The Bolts i am looking for are the ones in the front closest to the frame. If you have a complete set i am willing to purchase it from you.at a reasonable price of course

Hey Paladin,
At the top of the MAIN FORUM PAGE, you will see where it says Private messages, when you registered, you are given a Private Mailbox, and Andreas sent you one in response to your requests for the headbolts. IF you'll go there, you can then reply in private and handle things there, just an FYI!
