  • chrome plating

    Anyone have there engine chromed? i was thinking of doing this towards fall since I have to pull the engine to do some work. Kinda courious as to cost?

      Bikenutt, you have a good chrome place in Omaha by the name of Industrial Plating which is located north of Creighton College. I've had quite a few xs11 parts done, side covers, etc. chromed there with good results. Ask for Randy when you go in. I would guess about $600 for side covers, valve cover, carb bowls and diaghram covers (outside carbs) starter covers, etc.

        With the right technique you can buff up your alloy covers to a very similar to chrome shine and save a bunch of dollars.

          Yep i called them today and he said the best thing to do is bring the bike to them and then he could give me a better quote.
