  • Odd Problem

First problem I've had since I bought it. When I got it it ran great and still does. But I seem to be flooding a carb at idle. On the way to work today I was at a stop light and Lost power it felt and acted flooded. On the way home tonight I had no stop lights and had no problems. I assume I'll have to pull the carbs but any other options before I do.
I hate signatures. Too many cars and Bikes to list here.

    Not much to go on.
Need more details... what does a flooding engine sound like? How does the sound differ from a starving engine.
What was the difference in performance?
What do the spark plugs look like? All good? One fouling, fouling across the board?
Could be fuel... could be intermittant spark.
Usually with flooding, one gets fuel outsaide the engine, like dripping from the airbox.

You need to update your profile or signiture to include year of bike and what type.
If it's a standard and you question whether the carbs are flooding, turn the petcocks to prime. The float bowls will overfill and fuel will come out of the airbox. Usual cause is worn float needles.
Other than that, need more information.
