OH yes .. I remember the first time i turned the throttle on my 1100. All that torque and instant speed. It's not the sort of thing one forgets.

When I got mine, years back, the PO said to me just as I was going to ride away "watch out, she's quick", boy was that the understatement of the year! A few blocks away, as I was leaving a stop sign, I gave her my normal Harley size twist on the throttle and just about lubricated my pants enough to slide off of the seat. I once owned an original Shelby Cobra and I don't think I was as scared of that car as I was of this bike. I tend to get used to her so every once in a while she has to wake me up and show me who the boss is!The Old Tamer
