Will one off a XS 750 Triple work on my xs1100 special 1980?

Don't believe so, they are in different positions, 11 in front, the 750 in rear, and they have totally different part numbers for the main parts:
However, if you'll notice, the BOLT is the same part number, so you should be able to use "IT", but not the whole tensioner assembly! HTH?750
