So I've heard, but my car's a 4-cylinder, so I wasn't looking for something gas-efficient, I was looking for something that doesn't take 30 seconds to get to 50 mph.

I'm guessing you're talking stock here. My bike is more like half-XS, 1/10th Suzuki (a single bolt), 9/10ths aftermarket, including pod air filters and a MAC 4-2 exhaust. I might be able to shave a few milliseconds off that...

Check out Merriam Cycles if you really want to get crazy...Bob jones claims 9 second 1/4 mile times with his bikes.

Not really looking to break any records here, just want something nice and unique. Hence why I like my bike so custom.

                        BlkMage,
Check the rally section, Southwest. There WILL be some XS11's in your area Labor Day Weekend. We meet in South Lake Tahoe, at the Motel 6. I'm also ex army, 82nd with 16 jumps.

Sounds awesome! I'll have to make sure I'm ready by then. Oh, and props on the jumps, I was handed a medical discharge before I got out of training, would have GLADLY gone my full 6 years (helicopter mechanic).

Hey prom, I didn't need a kick, but I did have the first three as night jumps!!(eyes closed!)
BlkMage, you have Dragxs11 near you, if you need some support. I think he lives NORTH of Reno, so he is probably about 25 to 30 minutes from you. You might try a PM to him if you hit a wall trying to get the bike going. I won't say he can help, but Matt does try if he has the time.

If you really want "unique" return it to factory floor specs. These bikes in factory floor specs / parts and or condition are pretty rare. There are a number of them around that are modified one way or another so getting "unique" is difficult.
