    Hey Roach,

    Congrats on finding the problem! But you see, after I included your previous work, someone (SNOW=NEW GURU )was able to cue in on a possible change, and provided the solution!

    So...it's better to be longwinded, and provide as much info as you can than not enough, can save folks lots of time in the long run!

    Lots of info and tech tips on CLUTCHes and such! Happy reading!

      Guru status confirmed

      Like TC said, the more information you can give us, even if it doesn't seem relevant to you, the better.

      Just so you don't feel bad, my brother and I spent many hours trying to figure out why my 79 wouldn't spark...we eventually decided to make a Burger King break and brought the wiring diagram with us... after a few mouth fulls of bacon whoppers, we found out about the tipover switch...boy...did we feel dumb!

        Was just reading your thread, Yep I did the same thing when I was rebuilding mine. Put the tip over switch up side down. Happens to the best of us.
        Open road and power between your legs, nothing better!!

          Hi Guys,

          There is only one sensible place for the tip-switch;

          IN THE TRASH!

            Tip over switches suck. And so do 27 year old carbs.
