  • XJ1100 Mikuni BS34 Carb Kits

Can anyone provide a source for carb rebuild kits for the Mikuni BS34 carbs on the XJ1100? I'm having a hard time finding kits specificly for the XJ1100.

you can get parts , but not a kit per say ...as far as I know .

I bought float needle and seats from an 80/81 1100 or the press in type on xs650's are the same .

the idle mixture screws are the type with the little washer and o ring .

pilot jets are not bad priced in a pack at a yamaha dealer ...
should be able to get main easily , but the tough one is the jet needle and needle jet .

Most guys seem to be able to change the float needle/seat
    and clean the rest .
do not dunk unless you use a product yamaha sells thats safe .
or remove the throttle shaft seals , pita ....
On the 82 xj I found my throttle shafts seals were crumbly . I replaced them in all my carbs , but feel the 78/79 carbs were not needed ....
can be bought for $5.00 each seal at a dealer ...

what helped me most was to set the idle adjustment after synch .
It was rich and hard for me to ear tune the idle ...once I clode them off some it runs pretty good now..

I know , long winded and might be more than you wanted to know !!
    good luck

try mikes xs and carbkitcapital , plus a dealer for individual parts
