xs and xj carbs

hi, i found a deal on a set of k+n individual filters to fit an 82 xj1100.........does anyone know the external dimension of the rear of the carb where the filters push on..thanks guys

Chopper:

The size is 54MM (2 1/8"). Let me know how the re-jetting works out. I purchased individuals (not K&N) and seem to be running a bit lean with 137.5 mains (up from the stock 112.5) and 45 pilot jets (up from 43). Good luck.

Rob, I also thought the 137.5 was lean. 142.5 is definitely rich, too rich to compensate by changing float height, I will be putting in 140's next time I'm doing that sort of thing. I think we've pretty much got it zeroed in for other XJers that want to go with individual filters and stock exhaust - 140 mains.

Funny, my XJ had 47.5 stock pilots, and I'm now running 50's...

i saw a dynojet kit (stage 3) for an xj11(82model)

I also saw the dynajet kit.
Mine is 1100 E for stage 1 and stage 3.
It didn't say what size of jets just the stage in Dennis Kirk

i am waiting on news of availability on a k&n stage 3 kit. this includes 4 filters,breather filter,all jets and needles etc, around $120 us. if it is available i will post the url immediately....watch this space...
