  • ok whats this part?

    Ok 2 questions here. I looked up the vin# useing this site. and I found out its a 80 xs1100SG whats SG stand for? Also on the controls by the clutch theres a box with a switch on it. What the heck is it? i'll try to grab a pic tomorrow if noone knows, its kinda dark outside right now.

    SG means it is a Special, and the switch is the emergency flasher.

        Thanks, I was wondering why it was not doing anything when I pushed it. The guy I bought it from said the 4-way flashers didnt work but i did find the fuse to replace it. Who needs them anyway? These bikes dont break down.

            I used the Hazzard Flasher when my throttle cable broke and I was coasting along and after I rigged it to get home for the trip . After this I clamped the cable to the grip and fastenened the casing to the tube with black tape and it works for now .
            Its good if you want to be seen .
