I've heard that fancy F.I. /bigger/better carbs etc.. won't do much for an XS11 as far as performance goes.

hey pggg, those yoshi carbs look awsome,
sum of those other carbs are looking a bit pricey tho.

ive found that the ninjas 900/1000 have very
similar spacing between carbs as that of the xs
          theyre 77 - 85 - 77 but are 38mm carbs
would 38mm fit into our rubber manifolds?
and not sure if they would fit under the tank as well.

pete 77-85-77 would fit easily and the larger diameter carbs still slide into the XS manifolds, they're 37mm carbs with an XS manifold in this pic, the manifolds are easy to shape with a dremel to ease over tight fitting, but the ninja carbs are downdraft or sidedraft? These ones are 2002 R6 downdrafts, I'm pretty sure they'd work as sidedraft because of their float bowl shape but can't say for sure as I haven't tried them, the ZRX carbs I used were pretty much a similar carb, but sidedraft and with a better spacing to fit the XS, those R6 downdrafts need custom manifolds to fit the XS as they're spaced a compact 73-73-73

not sure pggg if the ninja carbs are side draft or downdraft,
havent actually seen the carbs themselves, was looking
              at this pro flo site,

              http://www.pro-flo.com/proflo_mikuni...its.htm#SUZUKI

so i figured there side draft cause of the mikuni kits available
for them, and the spacing of these carbs are a better fit
than the suzuki ones, ill try and suss out a few local
              wreckers and check them out.

Pretty sure most ninja carbs are downdraft like those R6 carbs, they're really semi-downdraft, they dont sit vertical but sort of 1/2 way between sidedraft and full downdraft, the earlier 900's had sidedraft carbs though, I reckon there's a good chance those semi-downdraft type will work as sidedraft, but can't find much info on the net about it, more a case of 'doing and seeing' to really find out

I was going through boxes in my garage and found a set of FJ1100-1200 carbs. I got them on ebay years ago at about the same time I got the Kawi ZRX carbs. I put the ZRX carbs on the 11 and they ran so well that I boxed up and ignored the FJ carbs.

Anybody want/need a set of FJ carbs?

                          Hi pggg,
you don't need more performance. The XS11 is TFFO as it is. What F.I. will do is save you from chronic carb cleaning and give better fuel consumption.
