  • starting problems; and tach.

ok, so here is the lastest on my bike. after much painful tracking down i still havent figured out the tach problem, but i have got another that might help figure something more out.
    - so recently my bike has decided that if i ride it and shut it down and try to start it up right after it dosent have enuff juice to do it. but if i hook up the battery charger and let it sit for about 3 minutes it will fire up......keep in mind my tach dosent work as mentioned in recent treads.

    any hints or ideas? s

another side qustion, for the turn signals will a normal 12v car flasher do on these bikes?

"You sir, have a charging problem"

Just reread your other thread. T.C. pretty well nailed it fer ya.
Did you check to see if the bike's charging, and if so, how much.
A weak charging system will cause the tach to act up.
And your other question just adds further to the diagnosis.
Why are you asking about turn signal units?
    Don't your turn signals work?
When the bikes not charging... there isn't enough current to run the turn signals.
When mine wasn't charging at full capacity, when I hit the turn signal, the engine would sputter. Drew too much voltage away from the ignition system.
This is why you keep needing to charge the battery.
Run a diagnostic to see if it's wiring connections, the stator coil or the regulator.
